Meanwhile, high-tax blue strongholds like California,New Yorkand Illinois are watching an uncomfortable trend unfold.Their taxpayers are leaving and taking their wealth with them.
The great wealth migration
Let’s talk numbers because this isn’t anecdotal.
NEW YORK’S HOCHUL DROVE ME TO FLORIDA — NOW SHE’S BEGGING ME TO RETURN.NOT HAPPENING
- Florida has gained hundreds of billions in net income migration over the past decade.
- Texas consistently ranks No.1 innet domestic migration.
- California has lost more than 500,000 residents in recent years.
And here’s the kicker.The people leaving aren’t broke.
They’rehigh-income earners, business owners andretirees with assets.
That means when they go, they don’t just change zip codes.
