Walt Disney Worldis taking steps to close a widely used loophole that allowed visitors to avoid parking fees.
With spring break crowds now surging, the resort has begun restricting access to its complimentary transportation system.
The update effectively ends a long-standing workaround that helped guests skip the $35 parking charge.
DISNEYLAND MAY SCRAP LONG-STANDING PARK RULE THAT FRUSTRATED VISITORS
For years, some visitors would park for free at Disney Springs, then hop on a bus to aDisney resort hotelbefore transferring to the park’s internal transportation network to reach the theme parks without paying for parking.

That hack is no longer flying.As of late March, Disney has begun limiting bus access to Disney Springs to guests who can prove they are staying at a Disney resort.
Visitors attempting to board are now being asked to show a MagicBand, room key or a digital reservation through the My Disney Experience app.Those without proof are being turned away and directed to standard parking or ride-share options, the blog noted.

Under the update, guests would still need to enter their reserved starting park first but could hop to the other park afterward, depending on capacity.
