IAnd let the record show that our channel may be turning 30, but it only looks 22 thanks to the makeup team.

The only difference was that I couldn’t stay long, because I had my taxi double-parked on Sixth Avenue, and I didn’t want to get a parking ticket.

That being said, I’m not here to make this piece about me or my nationally syndicated talk show, which you can listen to weekdays from noon-3 p.m.Nor do I want to focus on my TV show, “Don’t get me wrong, a more shameless writer might even use this opportunity to plug his New York Times bestselling book, “Cancel Culture Dictionary,” but let’s leave my accolades aside — especially my top streaming stand-up comedy special, “They’re Just Jokes,

Getting past my ridiculousness for a minute, the thing that makes so many people fall in love with working here is the undeniable sense of community that energizes “1211” every day.

MARTHA MACCALLUM: AFTER 22 YEARS, HERE’S WHY I

Everybody knows EVERYBODY, and as serious as the work can get, the day-to-day vibe feels more like you’re hanging out with your funniest friends.

Sure, people put in crazy hours and work against tight deadlines, but we spend every second in between cracking each other up during commercial breaks and catching up on each other’s families.

As serious as the work can get, the day-to-day vibe feels more like you’re hanging out with your funniest friends.

Those conversations frequently make their way to the airwaves, which is why the viewers know so much about our pets, our kids and our weekend plans.

I’m always told at my live events that people feel like they know us because they DO.We’re like relatives, and the best part is you never have to worry about us staying too long because you have a remote that makes us leave.(Although we may ask to borrow money before we go if I lose my bet on the Yankees winning the World Series this year.)

The other thing that makes our channel so dominant on so many platforms is the fact that TV is the ultimate team game, and it’s not lost on any of us that NOBODY can win on the air without superstar performances off it.

Tom Bradywouldn’t have a single Super Bowl ring if he didn’t have a great offensive line, and the same goes for TV hosts — we’re nothing without all the amazing people blocking for us behind the scenes.

Not that I think anyone should be comparing themselves to a man of Tom Brady’s stature, but it wouldn’t shock me ifJesse Wattersdid.

From the wizards in the wardrobe department to the badasses in building operations and everyone in between.

There are honestly too many awesome people here to name, although I do hope this piece has inspired at least half of you to start watching my show because I can always use the ratings.

Cheers to 30 years!
